Our Philosophy

The Little Maccabees is designed to create a safe, warm and nurturing environment. Each child will be recognized for their unique abilities and respected for their strengths and weaknesses which will allow the child to develop according to their own potential. 

We provide opportunities for the child to make choices and solve problems by encouraging freedom of expression. Our goal is to continuously challenge each child to participate in individual and group activities thereby allowing them to develop a positive self-esteem and independence. With the guidance of our professional staff and a unique developmental approach with a "hands on application", we encourage the emotional, social, physical and spiritual growth of each child.

Our commitment is to integrate Torah ideals and Jewish traditions into our daily routines. The Center will serve as a model to the children and their families, as well as the entire Pacific Palisades community, for Jewish values, Jewish history and Jewish teachings. The Little Maccabees caters to Jewish families from all walks of life. Indeed, everyone can feel comfortable with the relaxed teaching style and approach. Chabad welcomes all Jewish people regardless of religious background or level of observance. Our relationship will be based on the mutual interest and concern we have for your child and will be supported by a close relationship with our parents and their extended families.
